Hello! I truly appreciate your taking the time to peek at my work! My name is Emma and I currently reside with my family in north Minneapolis, Minnesota. We spend a lot of time adventuring (and documenting every step) and enjoying each other's company. By day I stay home with Olive, my daughter, and June, my son and by night I run this little business in my studio in our basement.
I got into photography on somewhat of a whim back in the early 2000's and jumped in head first when Olive was born in 2011. I have been growing my skills and honing in on my particular photographic passions ever since. As a work at home mom it is often hard to find the time or brain power to truly explore my interests, but I'm getting there slowly but surely. I live to document and tell visual stories and get so excited at every opportunity to do so.
I am sure you've heard of photojournalism and documentary photography. I strive to be more than your average photojournalist. I want to connect with you, your family, your brand, on a detailed and emotional level. I want to help tell your story like no one else can - A story that you can share with friends and family or keep to yourself to cherish for years to come.
I prefer to approach photography on a real life, human level. Minimal posing and little to no artificial lighting is key. Stress free experiences filled with your unique personality and surroundings is what I strive for.
I am so grateful for the wonderful clients I have had the pleasure of photographing over the years - it has truly been a gift to stay home with my kiddos while being able to do something I love. I cannot wait to meet you and be part of documenting your unique story.
